Your privacy on MomentXO

Updated 29 September 2026

MomentXO is responsible for the personal information used to run this service. Contact us at support@momentxo.com for privacy questions or requests.

This update explains optional Community Moments, following, conversation requests and payment processing. It does not publish existing private uploads or change your sharing choices.

What we collect and why

Age verification with AgeVerif

When you use our age-check flow, you are directed to AgeVerif (PlanetSeason) for facial age estimation or reuse of an existing age attestation. AgeVerif states that its Face Age analysis runs on your device and that camera images are not transmitted to MomentXO. This is an age check, not identity or profile-photo verification. Read AgeVerif’s privacy policy before continuing.

Our server receives the verification result, a reference, age threshold, assurance level and expiry. We store those fields with your account to check adult eligibility and prevent unverified access where the age requirement is enabled. We do not store the provider access token or your camera image. Temporary connection attempts expire after 15 minutes and are cleared after 24 hours when new checks start; account-linked results are removed when your account is deleted, subject to the retention exceptions below. We use these limited records for our legitimate interests in protecting an adults-only service. Contact support if you cannot complete a check or want to exercise your privacy rights.

Sensitive preferences and consent

Some matching choices, including sexuality, ethnicity and religion, can reveal sensitive information. We use them for the matching you request with your consent. Optional ethnicity and religion details have a separate consent control. You can update or clear optional details in Preferences; withdrawing that optional consent clears those fields when saved. If you no longer agree to the core matching use, you can stop using the service and delete your account.

We use account, interaction and requested membership information to deliver the service you request. Security, fraud prevention, moderation and service measurement support our legitimate interests in running a safe, reliable service. Optional advertising storage and product marketing use your consent. We may also process information where needed to meet legal obligations.

Anonymous registration counts

We count homepage visits, Join clicks and registration steps to find problems with sign-up. We keep daily totals by step and broad traffic source, such as Instagram or direct/unknown. These counters do not store form contents, email addresses, birth dates, visitor identifiers, IP addresses or full referral URLs, and do not use analytics cookies or browser storage. They are separate from account records and routine hosting/security logs. Repeat visits may count again.

What other members can see

Compatible members can see your discoverable profile and approved profile photos. Age and broad area appear only if you enable them. Your date of birth and private matching selections are not displayed. Intended recipients can view delivered Moments; mutual connections can chat. Gallery owners decide who has access, including access to future uploads. Both participants must submit approved photos before a shared prompt is revealed.

Optional Community Moments

A private exchange and a Community Moment have different audiences. Only eligible general exchange Moments that you explicitly choose to share can appear in the community. Existing private uploads are not published automatically. Direct-to-member Moments, replies in conversations, private-gallery uploads and shared-prompt media are excluded from community publishing.

A shared Community Moment, its caption and associated profile details can appear in Latest Moments, the Following feed and your profile’s shared-Moments section for signed-in members who meet the applicable access and compatibility rules. It is not limited to the person who receives a private exchange. Featuring a shared Moment gives it prominence on your profile; it does not bypass privacy, compatibility or moderation rules. Community member content is not made available to anonymous visitors or search engines.

You can use Stop sharing on a shared Moment to withdraw it from the community. This stops future community access through the service; it does not withdraw an already delivered private exchange or erase someone’s screenshots, downloads or copies. Open viewers may retain already loaded content until access is rechecked or the view closes. Blocking, reporting and account-visibility restrictions continue to apply.

Following controls which eligible shared Moments appear in your Following feed. It does not grant private-gallery access or open a chat. You can unfollow. A reply to a Community Moment is a conversation request, including the text you choose to send, that the recipient can accept or decline. Acceptance opens a mutual conversation and carries the initial reply into that conversation. A request does not grant access to a private gallery.

Service providers and advertising

We use Supabase for accounts, databases and media storage, Vercel for hosting, Resend for service email, and configured media-checking providers such as Sightengine or Hive for moderation. They process the data needed for those functions. Browser and operating-system push services deliver optional device alerts. Photos and message text are kept out of push notification previews.

Optional advertising may use ExoClick and its partners. With your permission they may process IP address, device information and advertising cookies for ad delivery and measurement. We do not send your messages, Moments or matching preferences to advertisers. Use Privacy settings at the bottom of any page to accept, reject or change optional advertising storage. See ExoClick’s privacy policy for its processing.

Payment processing

Where you choose a paid subscription, Stripe hosts checkout and the billing portal. We send Stripe your account email and internal account reference to associate the payment with your membership. Stripe collects payment and billing details directly and processes transaction, device and fraud-prevention information under Stripe’s privacy policy. MomentXO does not receive or store your full card number or card security code.

Stripe sends billing-status events to our server so we can activate, update or end subscription benefits and handle support. We use those records to fulfil the subscription you request, maintain accurate billing and meet applicable legal obligations. This notice describes processing; it does not open subscriptions, change founder benefits or enrol you in a paid plan.

Service providers may process information outside your country. Where a restricted international transfer applies, appropriate safeguards are required, such as recognised contractual transfer protections. Contact us for details about a particular provider or transfer.

Notifications and reminders

Device notifications are optional and require permission on each device. Notification settings control alert categories, quiet hours and available delivery or connection emails. Availability alerts are opt-in and only concern profiles that fit your existing preferences; they are limited to at most once a day. Session reminders are created only for sessions you choose. Product news is separately optional in your profile. Essential sign-in and security emails remain available.

Storage and deletion

We keep account information and content while needed to provide your account and the features you use. Community-sharing records, follows and requests are kept as needed to provide those features, respect refusals, prevent repeated requests and enforce safety and usage limits. Stopping community sharing is not the same as deleting the original Moment or an existing private delivery.

You can remove gallery items, withdraw eligible queued Moments, stop community sharing and request account deletion in Help. A deletion request hides your profile immediately and starts removal of the account, uploaded media and associated conversations. Billing cleanup stops relevant subscription renewals before account removal. If removal fails, the request remains pending so it can be completed.

Limited information may remain where needed for security, abuse investigations, billing disputes, legal obligations or the recovery cycle of service-provider backups. Payment providers may retain transaction records under their own legal obligations and privacy notices; deleting your MomentXO account does not automatically erase those records. Anonymous exit feedback may be retained after account deletion. Contact support for the status of a deletion or details of retained information; deletion from MomentXO cannot remove copies another member has made.

Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile and preferences, manage advertising and notification choices, stop community sharing, unfollow members, accept or decline conversation requests, block or report members, revoke gallery access and delete your account. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of your data, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful use.

Email support@momentxo.com with your request. We may need to verify that you own the account. If you are in the UK, you can raise a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office; elsewhere you can contact your local data protection authority.

Changes

This notice will be updated when our data practices change. Check the date above for the current version. Material changes will be brought to members’ attention where required.
